TRAINING in ARIZONA - 2026

EVT Testing on Saturday, October 10 @ 0900.

Thursday, Oct 8 - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 PM.

Friday, Oct 9 - 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 PM.

Saturday, Oct 10 - 9:00 a.m. EVTCC Testing

Thursday/Friday - Kevin Roberts, from EVTCC.


BIO: 

  

Kevin Roberts was raised on a farm in southern Wisconsin. He has been a Union Bricklayer, an over-the-road Truck driver, and a shop owner since 1989, specializing in
fleets and Emergency Vehicles, and Classic Cars since 1996. He has been a trainer with CarQuest Technical Institute since 2012 and has often incorporated his own Hands-
On electrical training with meters and test boards. Kevin has also developed his own Emergency Vehicle Diagnostic, Service, and Maintenance curriculum.
He has trained at State Fire Mechanics Associations including, California, Oregon, Colorado, Heat (Kansas City), Wisconsin, and Texas. He has also trained at private Fire Apparatus Dealerships.
He regularly trains at the yearly FTTC (Fire Truck Training Conference) in Lansing Michigan. He includes in his training, principles on how to read, understand, and correctly answer ASE and EVTCC test
questions. In 2025 he began providing a “Train-the-Trainer” curriculum to help Trainers deliver effective Emergency Vehicle Technician Training.
He has been a volunteer for the EVTCC (Emergency Vehicle Technician Certification Commission) since 2003. Kevin has served as committee member, committee chairman, board member, and since 2018, Board President.
He lives in Rhinelander, Wisconsin.

EVTCC TESTING:

You must register and pay for EVT exams at their website -  https://www.evtcc.org/testing-events.  

You must register at least two weeks prior to the test date. 


The EVT Test site number is for exam registration purposes. 


You do NOT need to attend the seminar to take EVT exams at the test site on Saturday.


You do NOT need to be a current AFSMA member to register for exams.


Test site/Proctor should be listed after Aug 11.
